Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy

Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy John Hagan was born in Luton, England on May 20, 1946. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in December 1964 and attended basic training at Recruit Training Center, San Diego, California.

He was sworn in as MCPON on August 28, 1992 as the eighth Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy.  

Hagan's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (with gold star), as well as unit and campaign awards.
