Sgt. Nicholas S. Nolte, 25 of Cherry Point, NC died November 24, 2004 at National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, MD. He was born on September 16, 1979 to Anita (Santo) Nolte and the late Bradley Nolte.

On November 9^th, while serving in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, Sgt. Nolte was providing security for a colonel when the Humvee he and five others were traveling in drove over a roadside bomb. He sustained multiple injuries as a result of that enemy action. He was transferred to Germany and finally to National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, MD where he died as a result of his injuries.
